Wednesday October 12
7:00 - 8:30pm
at Coastal Bookstore
Join local painter and mixed media artist Tamara Grand for an evening of fun, stress-free and intuitive art-making. Using only paper, scissors, and glue, we'll touch on the themes of colour, shape, and composition as we create several small collage pieces.
No experience making art? No worries! This is a beginner level workshop for adults, with the goal of introducing participants to an inexpensive and accessible way to explore their creativity and perhaps spark their interest in developing a regular creative practice.
Materials List:
- scissors
- glue (glue stick or Elmer's white)
- an old credit card (to smooth out papers)
- an assortment of papers (this could include bits of wrapping paper, tissue paper, hand-written letters, receipts, magazine pages, newspaper ads, stamps, pre-made scrapbooking papers, wallpaper samples, paper bags with interesting designs on them); sharing of papers amongst workshop participants is highly encouraged (and makes for even more possibilities!)
